Victoria "Vicky" June (Nellis) Hatley

Victoria “Vicky” June Hatley, 64, of Carterville, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2022, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with reflections by her family. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help offset expenses.

Vicky was born August 19, 1958, in Carbondale, to Jerome Dean and Hazel June (Sloan) Nellis. She married Teddy “Ted” L. Hatley on July 19, 1989, in Paducah. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2014.

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Hatley (David O’Connor), Ruth (Vincent) Seyferth, and Tara Agers; sons, Micah Boone and Teddy L. Hatley Jr. (Jennifer Thompson); grandchildren, Garrett Lee McGee, Charlotte Hatley, Augustus, Woodrow, Gracey, Levi, and Bentlee O’Connor; and brothers, Bob (Margo) Nellis, David (Susan) Nellis, and Calvin (Christine) Stearns.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Billy Boone II; brothers, Joseph and Stephen Nellis; and sister, Donna Stearns.

She had been a C.N.A. for over 30 years.

Vicky loved her family dearly, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed reading and taking care of everyone else.
