Vera Mae (Jarvis) Jeralds

Vera Mae Jeralds, 92, of Ava, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at her home.

Private services were held.

Vera was born May 1, 1932, in Herrin, to Earl Ray and Helen Marie (Elliott) Jarvis. She married Roy “Buddy” Jeralds on March 18, 1947, in Herrin. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1994.

She is survived by her daughter, Lou Ann (Jack) Spani; sons, Larry (Ann) Jeralds and Barry (Jeri Ann) Jeralds; grandchildren, Melissa Spani, Jack (Lina) Spani Jr., Shannon Jeralds, Krystal Spani, Ashley Jeralds, and Joseph Jeralds; brother, Lonnie Jarvis; sister, Rosemary Taitt; and several nieces and nephews.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Vivian Erline Tyner and Edith Helen Mitchell; brothers, Gene and Ralph Dale Jarvis, plus an infant brother.

She had been an office manager for an apartment complex.
