Vera Aline (Whitecotton) Flom

Vera Aline Flom,75, of Cambria, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating. Burial will be at Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cambria Apostolic Church or to the Cambria Food Pantry.

Aline was born February 14, 1946, in Cambria, to Ray William and Madge Emiline (Chandler) Whitecotton. She married Richard Wayne Flom on November 20, 2010. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2015.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon (Bobby) Grissom of Cambria; brother, Joe (Anna) Whitecotton of Carbondale; sister-in-law, Greta Whitecotton of Cambria; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Aline was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers and sisters, Herman (Nellie) Whitecotton, Beulah (Leonard) Welch, Pauline (Don) Cochran, Betty Whitecotton, Albert (Myra) Whitecotton, Bob Whitecotton, and Gary Whitecotton.

She was a faithful member of Cambria Apostolic Church as well as belonged to the Herrin Senior Citizens.
