Tim was born March 28, 1961, in Huntington, West Virginia, to George Cecil and Ella Mae (Hutchison) Smith. He shared over 15 years with June “Dee Dee” Gregory before her passing on July 7, 2022.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Smith (Jonathon Trusty); step-son, Nicholas Gregory; grandkids, Aiden and Juniper Trusty; siblings, George (Christy) Smith, Steve (Rita) Smith, Anna (Tim) Miller, Shelley (Steve) Miller, and Betty (Nelson) Lewis; his beloved cat, Sabrina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; daughter, Holly Mae Smith; brother, Randy Smith; sisters, Angela Dawn Smith and Willena Cherri; and significant other, Dee Dee Gregory.
He had been working at Herrin Walmart for the last 16 years and previously worked at Maytag.
A man of many talents, Tim was a true jack of all trades who approached life with passion and curiosity. Whether he was fishing, crafting, drawing, or singing, Tim, brought his unique touch to everything he did. His skills spanned from working with metal and wood to building things by hand, creating art, and fixing whatever needed it.
His greatest pride, however, was his family, whom he loved deeply. Tim’s presence will be missed by all who knew him, but his memory and the creations he left behind will continue to inspire and bring comfort.
