Timothy Ray Griffith

Timothy “Tim” Ray Griffith, 66, of Harrisburg and formerly of Energy, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at Integrity Health Care of Marion.

He was born March 30, 1958, in Herrin, to Timothy Newell and Cecilia Ann (White) Griffith. He married Joy Cardwell and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2024.

Tim is survived by his sister, Margaret (Jose) Pena; brother, David Griffith; and step-daughter, Shawna (Dustin) Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joy Griffith; and sister-in-law, Gayle Griffith.

Known for his hard work and skilled hands, Tim spent his career as an auto detailer at Hays Chevy in Herrin and had worked for Bunny Bread, always putting pride into his work.

Beyond his work, Tim enjoyed a range of passions-from riding horses and motorcycles to immersing himself in music.  He was happiest outdoors, on the open road, or listening to his favorite songs.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with arrangements.
