Thelma (Parks) Pulley, 86, of Carterville, passed away December 1, 2021, at Herrin Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born May 15, 1935, in Marion, to George and Cynthia (Jolly) Parks. Thelma married Dean Pulley on June 9, 1953, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, in a double ceremony with his brother, Weldon and Pauline Pulley. Dean preceded her in death on October 17, 2011.
Thelma is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Jim) Blythe, Pam Pulley Butler, and Lisa (Rick) Murray; grandchildren, Gabe (Cathy) Blythe, Lori (Brian) Smith, Travis (Kelly) Murray, and Kyle Murray; great-grandchildren, Macie Blythe, Marshall Blythe, Leioni Bickett, Hatcher Bickett, Myner Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Whitney Murray, and Scarlett Murray; brother, Theodore; sister, Betty; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, and four sisters.
Thelma was a homemaker who was known for her famous fried chicken and made from scratch biscuits. She enjoyed going camping and spending time at the lake. Thelma had served as a Williamson County Election Judge for several years.
Private services will be held at a later date.
