Sue Kirsch, 86, of Christopher, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Cambria Christian Church, with Pastor Jeff Alstat officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Greenville, Illinois.

Sue was born on September 30, 1938, in Greenville, to Harold Dean and Addison Lorraine (Bean) Koonce. She married John Walter Kirsch on August 17, 1957, in Greenville. They shared a devoted marriage of nearly 68 years.
She is survived by her husband, John Kirsch; son, John Kevin (Ann) Kirsch; daughter, Pamela (Ken) Hicks-Moore; sister, Bonnie (Kenny) Sugg; grandchildren, Amanda Hornbeck, John Andrew (Heather) Kirsch, Christopher (Natalie) Koesterer, Joel (Lyza) Koesterer, Ryan (Gina) Koesterer, and Kelli (Adam) Kampwerth; great-grandchildren, Natalie Hornbeck, David Hornbeck Jr., John Emmett Kirsch, James Koesterer, Jason Kirsch, Wyatt Koesterer, Chase Koesterer, Eleanor Koesterer, with 3 more on the way; and her beloved dog, Candy.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lorraine Koonce, and brother, Dean Koonce.
A woman of deep faith, Sue was a longtime member of Cambria Christian Church, where she found great strength and community. Throughout her life, wherever she lived, she remained active in the Christian Church, always finding ways to serve and connect with others through her faith. She had a love for flowers, her dogs, and, above all, her family, whom she cherished deeply. Professionally, she dedicated over 25 years of service as an Administrator and Supervisor with AETNA, where she was known for her leadership and compassion.
Sue will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with everyone she met.
