Sharon Kaye Buckingham, 62, of DeSoto, died peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at her home surrounded her loving family.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Blairsville Cemetery, with Brother Brice Shaffer officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Francis Animal Shelter.
She was born on October 27, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, to Larry and Katherine (Walsh) Culver. She married Freddie Lee Buckingham on April 12, 1979, in Herrin.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Freddie Buckingham; daughter, Marcie (Jon) Taylor; son, Freddie (Carrie) Buckingham Jr.; grandchildren, Jacob Lee Buckingham, Ashlynn Phelps, Lily Phelps, Jenna Renea Buckingham, Maxwell Deneal, Jaelynn Marie Buckingham, and Jeremy Arthur Buckingham; father who raised her, William Hacker; brothers, Billy (Martha) Hacker, Robert Culver, David Brasel, and John Saibilski; nieces, Samantha K. Rogers, Maria Williams; nephews, David and Clifton Hacker; plus many additional great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; sister, Vickie Taylor; and grandchild, Alexis Joy Phelps.
Sharon attended First Baptist Church in Christopher. She put her faith and trust in her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and she loved her family with all her heart.
She had been a home health care aid for Williamson County Programs on Aging for over 18 years.
Her favorite hobbies included crocheting and playing bingo.
