Sandra Lynn (Sargent) White

Sandra Lynn Sargent-White, 53, of Carterville, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2022, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Cody Knapik officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.

Sandra was born March 28, 1969, in Herrin, to John Edward and Kathleen (Harper) Sargent. She married Scott White on November 16, 1989, in Paducah, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Alan White; son, Scottie (Natasha) White of Johnston City; daughters, Kelsey Sargent (Lucy Hall) of Herrin, and Justine Hopkins of Cambria; grandchildren, Thaison Mercks, Toby Mercks, Mary White, Adam White, Zepplin Sargent, and Michael Garro; sister, Kathy Sargent; brother, David Sargent; and mother-in-law, Shirley White.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, William Sargent.

She had worked as a CNA at Mattingly Nursing Home for several years. Sandra most recently had been a homemaker.
