Russell Hines Allen

Russell Hines Allen, 76, of Herrin, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the CLC at the Marion VA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Community of Faith Church in Marion, with Rev. Dr. Troy Benitone officiating and reflections by Darren Vaughn.

Memorial contributions can be made to Community of Faith Church or to the Herrin House of Hope.

Russell was born on October 4, 1949, in Herrin, to Virginia Lee (Hines) and Vivian Oscar Allen.

He is survived by his sister, Vivian Allen, and his church family.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents.

He honorably served our country in the United States Navy. Russell worked at Allen Industries and was a faithful member of Community of Faith Church, where he was also involved in No Greater Love Ministries. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, going out to eat, and spending time outdoors.
