Ronald "Ronnie" Robertson

Ronald “Ronnie” L. Robertson, 76, of Johnston City, passed away January 27, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born March 23, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Benjamin F. and Martha L. (Russell) Robertson. He married Peggy Huff on February 6, 1976, in Carbondale. She preceded him in death on August 26, 2007.

Ronnie is survived by his daughters, Rebecca (Dee) Robertson, and Donna (Richard) Hennrich; sons, Benjamin Robertson and Russell Robertson; grandchildren, Gabbie (Jonathan) Reid, Wyatt (Chanie) Hennrich, Whitney Hermann, Cody (Kirsten) Huff, Quintin (Hannah Rodriguez) Huff, Linden Robertson, Isaiah Robertson, Deidre Huffman, Deva Huffman, Gracie Hennrich, and Courtney Richardson (Keith); 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Huffman and Barbara Dethrow; and family friend, Tammy Schaefer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Shannon Robertson; step-son, Charles “Chuckie” Huff; and two brothers.

Ronnie was a truck driver for PTL for over 20 years, retiring in 2013.

He honorably served our country as a United States Marine during Vietnam.

Services will be held at a later date.

Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with cremation services.
