Robert “Robbie” Joseph Carter, 63, of Herrin, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023, at home.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Cundiff Cemetery, with Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating. Harley riders will be meeting at the Herrin Elks at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, to ride to the cemetery together.
Robbie was born April 14, 1960, in Orange County, California, to Bobby Lee and Dorothy Marie (O’Connell) Carter. He married Marjorie Ann Pierce on June 8, 1985, in Royalton.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Carter; children, Jason Carter, Candice Carter, Cody Carter, and Mason Carter; grandchildren, Miranda Carter, Kyston Carter, Matheson Carter, Jameson Carter, Kylee Carter, and Payton Carter; brother, Steven Carter; uncle, Larry Carter; aunt, Ted (Linda) Graham; plus many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Robbie was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Phillip and Ricky Carter.
He was the owner and operator of Robert Carter Masonry in Herrin.
Robbie enjoyed riding his Harley, old muscle cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
