Robert "Bobby" Wayne Jenkins

Robert “Bobby” Wayne Jenkins, 64, of Colp, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to Abundant Life Youth Group in Benton.

Bobby was born November 19, 1959, in Herrin, to Gerald Ray and Nettie Fay (Howell) Jenkins. He married Jackie Sellers on July 10, 2015, in Paducah, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Jenkins of Colp; daughter, Ginger (Doc) Eubanks; son, Tristan Tripp; grandchildren, Kendra, Maddison, and Braydon Eubanks, and Tenzley and Isaiah Tripp; sisters-in-law, Sherry Jenkins and Carol Tuttle (Bryan Brooks); aunt, Betty Howell; mother-in-law, Oleta Sellers; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James “Jim” Jenkins; sister, Sharon Fay (Richard “Dick”) Heckel; father-in-law, Jack Sellers; and granddaughter, Kali Eubanks.

He was a supervisor on the line at Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon for twenty years.

Bobby loved being outdoors and enjoyed riding in the golf cart. He also liked to watch NASCAR and cheer on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals.

His everyday presence will be dearly missed.
