Robert "Bob" Keith Wortham

Robert "Bob" Keith Wortham, 89, of Carterville, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Jeff Wiggs officiating. Burial will be in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at the funeral home. Phase 4 Guidelines will be in effect: facial coverings and social distancing.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Cambria Christian Church.

Robert was born April 23, 1931, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to Harry Garner and Wortha Golden (Smith) Wortham. He married Mary Louise Robertson on June 19, 1958, in Herrin. She preceded him in death on August 17, 1998.

He is survived by his son, Keith (Tina) Wortham of Stewardson, Illinois.  

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Lillian Ruth Corgan; and brother, Lawrence Wortham.

He was a self-employed T.V. Repairman for many years. Robert had also worked for Brown-Columbo in Herrin, R.E.A. Express in Carbondale, as well as American Magnetics.

Robert was a member of Cambria Christian Church. 

He was a talented musician who loved playing music with friends. Robert, along with his son and daughter-in-law, operated KW Music Mixers for many years.  He not only played the guitar and banjo, but he also built fiddles and dulcimers.

Robert also enjoyed wood working and going camping.  He was a Ham Radio operator who belonged to the S.A.R.A. Club.

He was a loving father who will be dearly missed.
