Richard "Ricky" Eric Potter

Richard "Ricky" Eric Potter, 57, of Carbondale and formerly of Cambria, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at his home in Carbondale.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2020, at Blairsville Cemetery, with Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating. DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS RELATED TO COVID-19: facial coverings are required; social distancing yourself from others; and refrain from hugging.

Ricky was born September 28, 1962, in Carbondale, to Kenneth Maben and Patsy Ann (Woods) Potter.

He is survived by his 3 children, Erica of Herrin, Nicole Anne of Oregon and Richard Eric Potter Jr. of Centralia; father, Kenneth Potter of Hurst; brothers, Ronald Potter and Roger Potter, both of Murphysboro, John Potter of Marion, Kevin Potter of Anna, and Kenneth Potter of Cambria; sister, Elizabeth Potter of Anna; grandson, Kaden Kai of Herrin; aunt, Brenda Woods of Cambria.

Ricky was preceded in death by his mother and son, Joshua Potter.

He was a painter for a construction company.

Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with arrangements.
