Nola Faye Breedwell, 49, of Johnston City, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Herrin Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Guy Webster officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Nola was born September 22, 1973, in West Frankfort, to Edgar Gilford and Ramona (Drinnon) Breedwell.
She is survived by her daughter, Courtney (Marcus) Garner; grandchildren, Cory Garner and Parker Garner; fiancé, Steve Sizemore and his son, Avery Sizemore; sisters, Debbie “Sis” (Billy) Hatfield, and Shirley Rushing; brothers, Danny Breedwell, Delbert (Christie) Breedwell, and Dusty Holland; nieces and nephews, Diana Williams, Ashley Waldron, William “Bub” Breedwell, Angela (Bret) Parini, Jessica Breedwell, James Michael (Dakota) Rushing, plus many more; and a host of friends.
Nola was preceded in death by her parents; her father that raised her, Ron Holland; brother, Roy Holland; and brother-in-law, Jim Rushing.
She had worked at Maytag from 1997-2006. For the last 10 years, Nola had been a claims specialist with Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Nola loved going on a good Harley ride and road trips to somewhere warm, mainly Florida. Nola’s family were her greatest treasure. Her presence will be missed.
