Nettie Fay Jenkins, 91, of Cambria, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Parkway Manor in Marion.
*Phase 4 Restore allows 50 attendees, using social distancing guidelines. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Blairsville Cemetery, with Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating.

Nettie was born May 16, 1929, in DeSoto, to Lorenzo Dow and Aretta (McCree) Howell II. She married Gerald Ray Jenkins on September 27, 1947, in Blairsville. He preceded her in death on September 2, 1986.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Jackie) Jenkins of Colp; grandchildren, Delanie (Mike) Meyer of Kansas City, Missouri, Christopher Jenkins of Kansas City, Missouri, Brooke (Craig) Ruesch of Georgia, Heather (A.J.) Lautenschlager of Marquette, Michigan, Ginger (Doc) Ubanks of Blairsville, and Tristan (Ashley) Tripp of Marion; 13 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sherry Jenkins; brother, Charles (Betty) Howell of Cambria; and several nieces and nephews.
Nettie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James "Jim" Jenkins; daughter, Sharon Fay (Richard "Dick") Heckel; sisters, Lelia Vaughn and Mary Morris; and brothers, Virgil Lee and Robert Howell.
She was a member of the Carbondale Church of God, who faithfully read her Bible.
Nettie was a gifted sewer and embroider. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
