Michael "Jerry" Miller

Michael “Jerry” Miller, 52, of Herrin and formerly of Carterville, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be held, 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with David Casolari officiating.  Burial will be in North Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville at a later date.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Jerry was born on August 27, 1972, in Marion, to Marvin and Patricia (Lantrip) Miller. 

He is survived by his daughter, Kali Brister; son, Eric (Jessica) Miller; former wife, Rhonda Miller; grandchildren, Landyn, Jake, Braxton, Sophie, and Ella; plus numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother; grandfather, Orvil Lantrip; brothers, Randy and Bobby; and sister, Sandy.

Jerry owned and operated Miller’s Heating & Cooling for many years. He was an avid sports fan, particularly of baseball and football. Jerry loved spending time with his grandkids.
