Moe was born December 11, 1955, in Chicago, to Dolores (Najduch) and Michael Andrew Osifcin. He married Cheryl Dianne Arnold on July 25, 1981, in Chicago. Together they have shared 42 wonderful years.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Osifcin; sons, Tarey (Shayna) Stubblefield, and Nicholas (Sukunya) Osifcin; daughter, Valerie (Jake) Pendley; grandchildren, Maclean Stubblefield, Logan McPherson, and Maverick Pendley; sisters, Marlene (Mike) Reilly, and Donna Osifcin; plus many friends.

Moe was preceded in death by his parents.

He retired in 2009 from the Carbondale Police Department where he served as a Sergeant and Detective for more than 30 years.

Moe was quite a sports fan. He was an avid golfer and baseball enthusiast, from collecting baseball cards and sports memorabilia, to traveling to cheer on his beloved White Sox.  However, nothing could compare to Moe’s love of Jimmy Buffett! Moe liked to have fun and would plan their family vacations to the beach and around Jimmy Buffett concerts.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his precious family.
