Marsha Irene Palmer Boehm, 81, of Sebastian, Florida, and formerly of Carterville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her home in Sebastian, Florida.
Marsha was born on November 17, 1942, in Kewanee, Illinois, to Betty Lorraine Palmer.
She graduated from Carterville High School in 1960 and went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University in 1964. It was there where she met her loving husband, George, whom she married on December 29, 1962. She pursued a career in Education and then became a stay-at-home mom to her daughters. Later, she pursued a career in the clerical field.
Marsha loved the water, music and singing, watching old movies, and traveling. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, passing that love onto her daughters and grandson. She enjoyed playing games and watching movies with Logan. Her love extended to animals.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Leroy Palmer and her sister, Rhonda Tyner.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George Boehm; daughters, Kristen (Nick) Dame of Plant City, Florida, and Carrie Boehm of Sebastian, Florida; grandson, Logan Dame; sister, Sandra (John) Walker of Carbondale, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Marsha’s Life will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the family home. Seawinds Funeral Home handled the arrangements and online condolences may be shared at www.seawindsfh.com.
