Lynda Lue Meyer, 85, of Carterville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Herrin Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Blairsville Cemetery, with the Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating.
Lynda was born on March 24, 1940, in Cambria, to James C. and Helen J. (Bush) Myrick. She married Jackie D. Meyer in Cambria on July 30, 1960.

She survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jack Meyer; daughter, Robyn (Paul) Hunsaker; granddaughters, Jacklyn Meyer (Oliver Holzmeier) and Courtney Meyer; sister-in-law, Melba (Morris) Voges.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jay Douglas Meyer; and brother, Bob Myrick.
She worked as a cook for Cambria Grade School for more than 25 years, serving generations of students with dedication and care. Lynda was a woman of deep Christian faith who found comfort and strength in reading her Bible. In her spare time, she enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and shared a special love for her cats and dogs, who brought her great joy throughout her life.
