Linda Lou Davis, 90, of Carterville, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Integrity Nursing Home in Marion.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Kevin Edwards officiating and reflections by Billy Matthews. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Destiny Center Church.
Linda was born on July 31, 1935, in Carterville, to Maude (Spiers) and John H. McCluskey. She married Paul B. Davis on July 24, 1954, in Carterville. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2017.
She is survived by her children, Keith (Shari) Davis, Kendall (Sandi) Davis, and Paula (Jeff) Cowsert; grandchildren, Danielle (Mark) Fields, Taylor (Jake) McCann, Mike (Sarafina) Terrana, Jordan Terrana, Andrew Cowsert, Destiny (Michael) Cozzi, Faith (Cody) Shroka, Brent Binkley, Brian (Kara) Binkley, Billy (Michelle) Binkley, and Kristie (Mike) Calvert; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Reichert; plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul B. Davis; in-laws, Lawrence and Effie Davis; brother-in-law, Leonard Davis; brothers, Ralph, Alva, Bob, and Bill McCluskey; and son-in-law, Terrence Terrana.
Linda served as Secretary at New Era Dairy for over 20 years. She had previously dedicated 27 years to Sears, where she worked as Manager of Sales.
Linda enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of trips to the beach, where she loved collecting seashells. She also enjoyed word search puzzles and singing, but most of all cherished the time she spent with her family. She was an avid Saluki fan and a proud grandmother.
