Larry Dean Wigart Westbrook

Larry Dean Wigart-Westbrook, 73, of Marion, and formerly of Carterville, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at his sister’s home in Carterville, surrounded by family.

Graveside services with military rites will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2024, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville, with Rev. Donnie Colson officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Larry was born November 23, 1950, in Herrin, to William Robert and Wilma H. (Threlkeld) Wigart.

He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Kaye Westbrook and Elizabeth Smith; three grandchildren; siblings, Karen Luder, Connie Westbrook, Billy Westbrook, Cheryl Jackson, Teresa Jeralds, and Roger Westbrook; half-brothers, Kim Wigart and William Wigart; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; father who raised him, Bill Westbrook Jr.; and a brother, Michael Westbrook.

He honorably served our country in the United States Army.

Larry worked in construction for Walmart for many years.
