Kendra Jo Beasley, 64, of Freeman Spur, lost her battle with cancer on Monday, July 12, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Mike Shultz officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to SIH Cancer Institute in Carterville or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Kendra was born January 28, 1957, to Charles L. and Barbara A. (Restivo) Foster. Growing up she lived in multiple places including Rhode Island, where she had the first of her 5 children. As a kid, Kendra was very active in multiple sports including cheerleading and playing softball.
She married James A. Beasley on September 5, 2013, in Marion.
She is survived by her husband, James Beasley of Freeman Spur; children and step-children, Robert (Lana) Ventura, Jason (Andrea Miner) Ventura, Barbi Ventura, Joseph (Samantha) Ventura, Amy (James) Clarida, Michael (Lindsay) Beasley, Breanna Beasley, and Jessica Beasley; brothers, Charles (Kumiko) Foster, Mark Foster, David Foster, and Terry Foster; 16 grandchildren with one grandson on the way; plus numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kendra is preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Emilee Ann Montgomery.
She enjoyed watching the ID channel and bull riding, which she often did with her daughter, Amy. Kendra loved to draw, make crafts, and cook for her family and friends. She also loved going to the store with her husband, James.
