Kay Hebbeler, 74, of Herrin, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Continue Care Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born August 15, 1945, in Union City, Tennessee, to Raymond W. and Ruby Inez (Tharpe) Craver. Kay married Melvin Hebbeler on May 25, 1974, in Marion.
Kay is survived by her husband, Melvin "Mel" Hebbeler of Herrin; son, Kevin (Tatia) Trover of Herrin; daughter, Ann (Derek) Hebbeler-Hottle; grandsons, Landon Trover and Tanner Hottle; sister, Sandy (Larry) Addison of Carbondale; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Trover; and brother, Ray W. Craver Jr.
Kay loved flowers and used her passion for creating beautiful bouquets as a florist at Connie's Flowers in Marion. She had also worked as a waitress at the Carterville Cafe.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A celebration of Kay's life will be held at a later date. Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville is assisting the family with arrangements.
