Kathleen Denise Hall, 62, was a loving mother, gifted artist, talented nurse, and the heart of a warm and welcoming home. She will be remembered for her creativity, her compassion, and the joy she found in sunshine, family, and caring for others.
Kathleen is the beloved daughter of Linda and Carl Runge. She is survived by her three beloved children, Cory (Mikeala) Hall and her grandson, Atlas, Laurel (Jason) Harbert, and Andrew Hall, whom she shared with Lowell D. Hall Jr. She also leaves behind her sisters, Melody Erskin, Lisa (Bruce) Harvel, and Dawn (Dan) Korte.
To know Kathleen was to know someone who made life brighter. She loved dancing and loved the beach even more. Her family's trips to Florida became some of the happiest and most treasured parts of her life. She was happiest in the sunshine, by the ocean, toes in the sand, and surrounded by her family.
Kathleen was deeply creative and extraordinarily talented. She could paint, draw, make stained glass, and sew almost anything. She was an incredible seamstress who lovingly made clothes, Halloween costumes, and dance outfits for her children. She even beautifully hemmed and altered her daughter's wedding dress.
She also had a gift for making a house feel like home. Kathleen kept a warm, welcoming home where everyone was treated like family the moment they walked through the door. She cared deeply for others, a quality that also shaped her work as a registered nurse, where her compassion and skill made a lasting impact.
Kathleen had a soft heart for animals and never turned away any creature in need. From dogs and cats to raccoons and even mice, she was always ready to rescue and care for them. She loved generously, nurtured deeply, and gave comfort freely.
More than anything, Kathleen’s greatest pride and joy were her children. She loved them deeply, and that love will remain one of the strongest parts of her legacy.
She will be remembered for her creativity, her kindness, her open door, and the way she made people feel loved. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who had the gift of knowing her.
The family will hold a private ceremony.
