Judith Ann (Perrine) Ambler

Judith “Judy” Ann Ambler, 81, of Carterville, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Integrity Health of Marion.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Larry Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to First United Methodist Church of Carterville or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Judy was born September 21, 1941, in Springfield, to Nathan and Ruth (Hindman) Perrine.

She is survived by her sons, Brandon Ambler of Florida, and Steven Ambler of Cambria; grandchildren, Nathan (Rachel) Ambler, and Gabriel “Gabe” (Miranda) Ambler; great-grandsons, Archer and Oliver Ambler; daughter-in-law, Sally Ambler; and cousin, Bill Beasley.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a homemaker. Judy had previously worked for SIU Credit Union in Carbondale.

Judy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carterville as well as a member of the Red Hats’ Society.

She enjoyed dancing and going out to eat.
