Joyce Ann (Wright) Price

Joyce Ann Price, 79, of Carterville, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Parkway Manor in Marion.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will be in Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will begin after 6:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Joyce was born May 6, 1943, in East Chicago, Indiana, to Kenneth A. and Ann (Eaton) Wright. She married Harold Price, and he preceded her in death in February 1996.

She is survived by her daughter, Christin Hays of West Frankfort; grandson, Brockton Bain of Carterville; sister, Nancy (Nick) Grindle of Herrin; nieces, Steffanie (Steve) Mellon and Lori (Derrick) Crane; great-nieces and nephews, Brooklyn Mellon, Amber Meier, Garrett Meier, Logan Meier; aunt, Marilyn Eaton; and many cousins and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Holly Hays.

She was a real estate agent for Century 21 and House of Realty in Carterville and Carmi.

Joyce enjoyed boating on the Ohio River and Kentucky Lake with her husband Harold. She also liked to travel, but most of all, Joyce enjoyed time with her family especially around the holidays.
