John Davis Obituary

John Lindell Davis, 75, of Marion, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at St. Louis University Hospital.

Services will be held at a later date.

John was born March 25, 1945, in Crab Orchard, to Lyman Edward and Evelyn (Parks) Davis. He married Cathy Jean McMillan on March 4, 1969, in Herrin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Cathy Davis of Marion; daughter, Kendra Marrs (James G.) of Marion; sister, Joan Renee Davis of Chatham, Illinois; brothers, George (Joan) Davis of Creal Springs, Jerry (Connie) Davis of Slidell, Louisiana, Jimmy (Cindy) Davis of Pleasant Plains, Illinois, and Kenny (Barb) Davis of Crab Orchard; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

He honorably served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam.

John enjoyed tinkering on old cars and watching the traffic go by.
