Jo Ann (Bailey) Walker

Jo Ann Walker, 80, of Cambria, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Herrin Hospital.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  

Jo Ann was born April 17, 1942, in Cambria, to William and Edna (Short) Bailey. She married Fred Walker on August 21, 1959, in Hurst.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Fred Walker of Carterville; daughters, Teresa Lynn (Clyde) Donley and Sharon Kay (Tim) Kempton; son, Tracy Lee (Sue) Walker; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Loyd, Virginia (Frank) Mezo, Edna Mae (Jerry) Wollenweber, Mary Ann Waldron, and Kenny (Diane) Bailey; plus many nieces and nephews.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jackie Ray, William “Bill”, David, Donald, Bobby, and Floyd Bailey; and sister, Martha Barnett.

She worked at AT&T in Montgomery, Illinois for over 12 years, as well as Bali Blinds in Aurora.

Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with cremation services.
