Jessie was born on June 17, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she lived for over 60 years. Jessie loved the city and always considered it home.

While raising her daughters, Jessie was a devoted homemaker. Later, she found joy and fulfillment in a career in manufacturing. She retired shortly before moving to Southern Illinois to be closer to her family. Jessie treasured her time with them, especially her grandchildren, who brought out her playful, youthful spirit.

She enjoyed coloring, hand embroidery, and had a remarkably green thumb when it came to her beloved plants and garden.

Jessie was a follower of Jesus Christ and was raised in the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Rusty) Spinks of Carterville and Janice Rose of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; grandchildren, Crystal (Tim) Perkins of Herrin, Nathan (Makenzie) Spinks of Vienna, Britney (Corey) DuBois of Marion, Thomas (Bobbie) Conner Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and George Conner of Washington; great-grandchildren, Cheyann Flora, Cally Flora, Harper Epperley, Keegan DuBois, BraeLynn DuBois, Rynlee DuBois, Annastahsia Conner, Rachael Conner, Koal (Kirsten Ellis) Conner, Wyett Conner, Abigail Conner, Mason Conner, Aurora Conner, Cylus Conner, and Jersey Spinks; great-great-grandsons, Isaiah Ellis and Kyler Conner. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sandy Walters of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, with a special place in her heart for Salena and Wynter Bowlin; and her beloved pets: Jackie the turtle, Mitzy the dog, and Wrigley, her special grandpig.

Jessie was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Mary and James Lucas; special grandparents, Mary and Thomas Pigg; siblings, Mary “Mandy” (Lyle) Bowlin, Richard Walters, and Gene Walters; granddaughter, Marsha Conner; niece, Cindy Sue Bowlin Stover; great-great-niece, Oakley Bowlin; son-in-law, Don Kipper; and cherished pets, Rusty, Taco, and Annie May.
