Jennings Edward Dennison

Jennings Edward Dennison, 82, of Carterville, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Jennings was born February 12, 1940, in West Union, West Virginia, to Homer M. and Elizabeth Avis (Reed) Dennison.

He is survived by his brother, Raymond Dennison of Carterville; cousins, Tommy Lease and Carol Sue Hart, both of Middle River, Maryland; nephew, Ed Dennison of Carterville; and great-niece and nephew, Michael and Elizabeth Dennison.

Jennings was preceded in death by his parents.

He honorably served our country in the United States Army during Korea.

Jennings was a storekeeper for the county of Baltimore for over 30 years.
