Jane (Robinson) Addison

Orla “Jane” Mae Addison, 71, of Carterville, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, at Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. *Facial coverings must be worn inside our facility.

Memorial contributions can be made to Gum Drops or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Jane was born April 17, 1950, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Rudell and Verna (Rowbottom) Robinson. She married Clarence Lavern “Lum” Addison on January 6, 1979, in Hafer, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2006.

She is survived by her children, Lucy (Bryan) Stacy of Zeigler, Jesse Greer of Blairsville, Jennifer Lawrence of Carbondale, and Chris Addison of Carterville; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Joyce) Robinson of Des Moines, Iowa; brother-in-law, Larry (Sandy) Addison of Carterville; sister-in-law, Doris McNew of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; plus a host of friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Marvin.

For over 25 years, Jane served Carterville Schools as a bus driver and cook.

She enjoyed shooting pool, camping and spending time with her family and friends.
