Jacqueline “Jackie” Denise Muse Davis, 53, of DeSoto, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
She was born June 23, 1970, in Ft. Polk, Louisiana, to John “Jack” Lloyd and Linda Lou (Threlkeld) Muse Rowland.
Jackie is survived by her son, Jake (Lysette) Flare; mother, Linda Rowland; the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Avory, Jameis, and Azalea Flare; sisters, Lynn (Jim) Stocks, and Susan (Scott) Rash; significant other, Scott Karcher; step-siblings, Sandy Dollins, Jack Rowland, and Don Rowland; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John “Jack” Muse, and step-father, Bill Rowland.
Jackie was the secretary for G&H Appraisals, including their storage units in Carbondale, for many years.
She was an animal lover-from cats to birds to monkeys, Jackie loved them all.
Jackie was a veracious reader who also enjoyed playing BINGO, crafting diamond art paintings, and binge-watching reality television shows like “Big Brother” and “Survivor”. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Carterville Community Center, hosted by her family.
