Jackie Sue (Vinyard) Groves

Jacquline "Jackie" Sue Groves, 55, of Norris City, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Jackie was born September 24, 1965, in Rosiclare, to Jack and Connie Sue (Sitzes) Vinyard. She married William Christopher Groves on July 27, 1990, in Carmi. 

Jackie attended the Chicago School for the Blind as well as Southern Illinois College and John A. Logan College. She worked as a CNA for a number of years; Manager over a convenient store, and a lead cook for two organizations. Jackie enjoyed spending time with her family and singing karaoke. 

Jackie is survived by her fiancé, Roger Moss of Norris City; daughters, Angela Bass of Norris City, Megan Lucas of Columbia, Missouri, Amber Barringer of Ashland, Missouri; sons, Adam Groves of Phoenix, Arizona and Josh Groves of Carbondale; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Tammy Heusner of Thompsonville, Amy Kennedy of Lawrence, Kansas, Crystal Vinyard of Norris City, Della Hester of Harrisburg; brother, Jason Vinyard of Galatia; and 10 nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Connie Sue Vinyard; husband, William Christopher Groves; son, Justin Stahl; nephew, Samuel Vinyard; and grandson, Isiah Chandler.
