Inice C. (Holland) Orr

Inice C. Orr, 86, of Carterville, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her home.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at Logan Church of God in Logan, Illinois, with Pastor Rick Fowler officiating.

Inice was born July 22, 1936, in Hanaford, Illinois, to William “Bill” and Violet (Moore) Holland. She married the love of her life, John Nalley, in 1954, and he preceded her in death. Inice later married John Orr in 1996, and he preceded her in death.  

She is survived by her daughters, Esther Lynch of Carterville, Edith Ori of Carterville, and Joyce Kinkade of Benton; mama’s favorite son, John Nalley of Benton; sister, Dottye Holland of Benton; grandchildren, Melanie Head-Essary, Marissa McClintock, Kora Webber, Ryan Nalley, Dennis Kinkade, Kim Kinkade-Kirk, Amy Kinkade-Rone, Nick Nalley, Daniel Nalley, Laura Huff, Toni Terry, and Richard McPherson; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren.

Inice was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; sisters, Onis Banks, Loretta Williams, and Mary Mitchell; brothers, Delbert Holland and Harry Eugene Holland; daughter, Enola Green; and son, Ronnie Nalley.

She was a homemaker who was also a talented seamstress.

Inice was a member of the Logan Church of God.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors- riding her bicycle, going fishing, taking walks, and tending to her flower garden.

Inice was a very outgoing people person as well as a creative artist who wrote poetry.

Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with cremation services.
