Helen Louise (Cannon) Colp

Helen Louise Colp, 94, of Carterville, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at Herrin Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2024, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville, with Pastor Dwayne Sheumaker officiating. 

Memorial contributions can be made to Crainville Baptist Church.

Helen was born August 3, 1930, in Williamson County, to Lawrence and Edna E. (Wright) Cannon. She was united in marriage to Fred Colp who preceded her in death on January 25, 1971.

She is survived by her daughters, Dana (Jim) Wilkerson and Ronda (John) Ferguson; grandchildren, Emily, Autumn, and Colby Wilkerson; and niece, Janet Sprague.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Isabel Wiggs and Leon Cannon.

She had been a factory worker at Good Luck Glove Factory for several years.

Helen was a member of Crainville Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Quilters Group.
