Harry Pope, most recently of Cambria, Illinois, passed away suddenly on February 1, 2022. He was born in Homestead, Pennsylvania, to Harry and Joan (Holly) Pope in September of 1960.
His Cambria family and friends included his true love, Mary Haffey, and the animals they shared – most recently Cinn-a-ball-icious, Sarahbey, Hurricane, and the ever-invincible Ocean. He also included fellow riders from his Widow’s Sons Motorcycle Club and Makanda Lodge Masons family as well.
His Nashville, Tennessee family were the Burneisens – Daughter Dora, son-in-law, Shawn, and two grandchildren, Ashton and Alexis.
His Pennsylvania family were Jimmy Pope, Cheryl Stokes, and Holly Pope – his siblings, and many, many, many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Joan.
Harry served honorably in the US Army from 1978 to 1982 in Frankfurt, Germany, where his son, Marcus Ehrhardt, remains.
Harry would prefer that everyone raise a frosty mug in his honor the next time the sun is shining and it is bike riding weather. GO STEELERS!
Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with cremation services.
