Glenda Lucille (Casey) Finney

Glenda Lucille Finney, 81, of Herrin, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Parkway Manor in Marion.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Blairsville Cemetery, with Bishop Richard Holt officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Jesus Only Church.

Glenda was born October 6, 1941, in Herrin, to Paul Levi and Lola Faye (Younkin) Casey. She married Bill L. Finney Sr. on February 14, in Christopher. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2007.

She is survived by her sisters, Doris Fuller; Joyce Merz; and Norma Androff; 15 nieces and nephews.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Gary Casey.

She retired after 30 years of services as a secretary for Olin Corporation.

Glenda was a talented singer and piano player. She shared her God-given gifts singing Gospel with a group known as Team Jesus and played the piano for Jesus Only Church in Herrin.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.
