Frank Angelo Hardcastle III

Frank Angelo Hardcastle III, 63, of Carterville, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

He was born May 4, 1961, in Carbondale, to Frank Vernell and Vera Helen (Boyd) Hardcastle. Frank married Jamie White on December 27, 2009, in Carterville.

Frank is survived by his wife, Jamie Hardcastle; sons, Nick (Amy) Hardcastle and Dustin Hardcastle; step-daughters, Allie (Cory) Ford and Kayla White; grandchildren, June and Georgia Hardcastle, and Harrison and Ezra Ford; sister, Tracy (Dennis) Johnson; brother, Brad (Mickey) Hardcastle; nieces and nephews, Jesse Jordan, Haley (Jesse) Phelps, and Demitri (Jessica) Johnson; and his best friend, Steve Falmier.

He was preceded by in death by his parents; first wife, Julie; and son, Zachary Hardcastle.

For many years Frank worked as a jaguar mechanic up until his motorcycle accident, and then became a computer programmer.

Frank had many hobbies, his love of cars, led him to recently begin collecting hot wheel cars for his grandkids which they also began to love. Music has always been important to him; he could sit for hours watching music videos and also had quite the collection of guitars. He looked forward to his weekly visits with his best friend, Steve, but one of the things Frank was most proud of was his four grandchildren. They brought him so much joy and happiness He also enjoyed staying home and having dinner and movie nights with his wife.
