Florence Evelyn Weller

Florence Evelyn Weller, 90, of Carterville, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Shawnee Senior Living in Herrin.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 17, 2020, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville, with Rev. Brad Harlow officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Florence was born February 16, 1929, in Carterville, to William and Hattie B. (Boyd) Weller.

She is survived by her niece, Robin (Roger) Houseworth of Johnston City and cousin, Nancy Weller of Carterville.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Weller; and nephew, Donald Weller.

She was a Physical Education Teacher for over 30 years at Palm Junior High in Lemon Grove, California.  Florence was also a care giver with Addus Healthcare from 1994-2016.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carterville.

Florence loved animals, especially her cats and dogs.
