Ester Hendricks Obituary

Ester Irene Hendricks, 78, of Herrin, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at her home.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Irene was born on November 7, 1947, in Boone County, North Carolina, to Bert and Nola Fay (Goins) Drinnon. She married Luther Earl Hendricks and he preceded her in death in 2008.

She is survived by her sons, David Hendricks and Luther Earl Hendricks Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sarah Louise Hendricks; and twelve brothers and sisters.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and home.

Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with cremation services.
