Emily Nicole Brasel

Emily Nicole Brasel, 15, of Herrin, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, at home.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with her cousin, Kyle Smith, officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Phase 4 Guidelines will be in effect: facial coverings and social distancing.  

Memorial contributions can be made to Free Again Animal Rescue or Good Samaritan House.

Emily was born August 9, 2004, in Marion. She was a Junior at Herrin High School.

She is survived by her loving parents; family and friends; and her beloved dog, Oscar.

Emily loved music, traveling and spending time with her friends. Her favorite foods to indulge in were brownie batter and pasta.
