Elinor Jane (Hastie) Beltz

Elinor Jane Beltz, 90, of Energy, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville, with Pastor Todd Hawk officiating.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Elinor was born December 14, 1930, in Carterville, to John and Elinor (Lowery) Hastie. She married Donald Dean Beltz on June 12, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2010.

She is survived by her son, Bill (Marilyn) Beltz of Energy; daughter, Barbara Keller of Hurst; granddaughters, Bonnie Jane (Kurt) Rubicz of Las Vegas and Taylor Beltz of Energy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elinor was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a set of infant twins, John and Ronald Beltz; and sisters, Judy Stark and Jean Hall.

She was a member of Harvest Time Worship Center in Herrin.

Elinor enjoyed taking care of her home, but especially loved spending time with her family. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy.
