Donald L. Jones

Donald L. Jones, 86, of Crainville, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the home of his brother, home surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Blairsville Cemetery, with the Rev. Donnie Colson officiating.

Donald was born on September 30, 1938, in Carterville, to James L. and Nellie Pearl (Behsears) Jones. He married Rose Lucille Vaughn on April 8, 1958, in Carterville. She preceded him in death on July 17, 2012.

He is survived by his son, Donald (Teresa) Jones; grandchildren, Summer Martin, Heather (Quincy) Massey, Trevor (April) Hillard, David (Vatasha) Shea, Jared (JaGail) Fosse, Jesse (Shelby) Fosse, Kelly (Clinton) Bryan; 23 great-grandchildren; extended family, Carol (Davis) Horan, Devin Emery, and Alya Horan; siblings, Rose Riley, Robert Jones, and Samuel Jones; plus nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Teresa Fosse; grandson, Ryan Jones; and brother, James Jones.

He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for more than 20 years. Donald enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and riding motorcycles.
