Donald Dean Hale

Donald Dean Hale, 86, of Herrin, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020, at his home.

Private services will be held at Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville, with Pastor Donnie Colson officiating.  

Donald was born August 14, 1933, in Carterville, to Ralph and Nellie (Harris) Hale. He married Lorraine Wilsoncroft and together they shared 57 years before her passing on January 9, 2019.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, Nelson (Dorothy) Wilsoncroft of Curwensville, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Margaret Absher; and brothers, Paul and William Hale.

He honorably served our country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service as a Tech Sergeant.
