David Lee Motsinger

David Lee Motsinger, 69, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at his home surrounded by his friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2022, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville with Pastor Jeff Wiggs and Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be Cambria First Christian Church. Envelopes will be at the funeral home.

David was born in Carbondale, IL, on April 11, 1953, to Gymple Lee “Smokey” and Gloria Uldean “Dean” (Tyner) Motsinger.

He is survived by his son, Dustin “Dusty” Motsinger; sister, Luan Pope; brothers, Eric Motsinger, Jon Motsinger, and Tom Motsinger; special friend, Christina Williams; several nieces and nephews.

David was in construction as a dry-wall laborer for many years. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his friends.
