Daryl Morse Obituary

Daryl Bradley Morse, 49, of Carterville, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Matt Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. *Facial coverings must be worn inside our facility.

Memorial contributions can be made to an Education Fund for Eli and Aiden Morse.

Daryl was born February 20, 1972, in Carbondale, to Steve Franklin and Sharon Kay (Moss) Morse. He married Meghan Collins on August 16, 2003, in Carterville.

He is survived by his loving wife, Meghan Morse of Carterville; sons, Eli and Aiden Morse of Carterville; sisters, Stephanie Morse, and Melissa (Michael) Lambert, all of Carterville; nephew, Bryar Morse of Herrin; in-laws, Donna (Rich) Collins of Carbondale; sister-in-law, Carrie Collins of Carbondale; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; plus a multitude of dear friends.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Bruce Moss.

He was currently employed by Banterra Bank as an Insurance Salesman but had previously worked for Shelter Insurance in Marion.

Daryl was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his boys.
