Christy (Clanahan) Caraway

Christy Clanahan Caraway, 49, of Cambria, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Cambria Apostolic Church, with the Revs. Matt Caraway, Doug Rice, Linda Godfrey, and Zach Cox officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family and will be accepted at the church.

Christy was born on October 3, 1974, in Herrin, to Edward and Deborah (Hillard) Clanahan. She married Mark Allen Caraway on August 9, 2008, in Herrin.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Mark Caraway; father, Edward Clanahan; sister, Leslie (Troy) Gonzalez; nieces and nephews, Taylor Gonzalez, Emma Caraway, Corban Caraway, Noelle Caraway; brother-in-law, Rev. Matthew (Chandra) Caraway; and in-laws, Keith (Marilyn) Caraway.

Christy was preceded by her mother, Deborah.

She was a faithful member of Cambria Apostolic Church.

Christy enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family.
