Christine "Chris" Elaine (Wright) Popham

Christine “Chris” Elaine Popham, 59, of Herrin, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Herrin Hospital.

She was born September 17, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Robert Wayne and Rebecca Fern (Ward) Wright.

Chris is survived by her daughters, Amber Madrid, Ashley Craig, and Kelley Miskelley; son, Tim (Kim) Ray; grandchildren, Garrett, Ethan, Emma, and Faith Ray, and Zane Craig; brother, Sam Ray; boyfriend, Daniel Hall; step-sisters, Sharlene Smith and Darlene Edwards; and longtime friend, Lee Ann Miles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and stepdad, David Ray.

Chris enjoyed so many things and loved animals. She was a hard worker who was always willing to help friends in need.

Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with cremation services.
